My Work
The work I create is very varied in that it spans many genres and materials. I wouldn't have this any other way as I love the variety of life my job brings!
As an individual artist I enjoy working in all mediums. I am very at ease in pencil, paint, pastel, realism, abstract, figurative, landscapes, sign writing, large and small scale — I love a challenge!
However, the majority of my personal work over the last few years has been focused on large abstract pieces, using a combination of scenic painting techniques, vale painting and countless hours of watching paint dry. I work flat in many watery layers, allowing natural patterns to form. My main mediums are inks, oil and metallic powders, and I also play with different levels of textured base.
In my work as a Maker I've had the opportunity to work across an endless variety of projects, learning to stick to strict deadlines and briefs and run multiples projects at once as a project manager and head maker. Over the years I've worked with some great clients such as Guinness, Bollinger, Silverstone, Bentley, Mr Foggs, Macallan, Hedonism Wines and many more.
I am very ecologically minded in life and try to bring that into my work, choosing natural or reclaimed materials whenever possible. The scrapstore is my favourite place for sourcing, particularly for my work in building festival decor.
